With an array of highly sensitive 3-component geophones, our system can continuously monitor the microseismic signals with high precision, high sampling rate, wide signal band, and wide dynamic rang. All geophones are synchronized with GPS. Using Semblance scanning algorithm, the correlation factor of the signals from geophones array are used to determine the starting time and the spatial location of microseismic activity. By plotting a series of microseismic events in 3D, the development of the fracture can be reconstructed.

Applications of SE3NT microseismic monitoring system include oil exploration, hydra-fracturing operation and natural disaster monitoring. The geophones are designed to endure outdoor environment for long term.

Each geophone has three high precision (24bit) velocity sensor and is able to sample the data up to 2kHz. The data are stored in onboard Micro SD card (4~64GB available). The operation routine can be manual and preset.

Features of Microseismic Monitoring Technology
1. Semblance Method:

Extensive search in the dimensions of start time, wave speed and x, y, z location can be performed in the semblance method. Uncertainly in the wave propagation speed can be compensated. The whole progress is intelligent and automatic, manual detection of potential signal is not needed.

2. Easy setup on-site:

Only an array of geophones needs to be dropped in swallows holes in the area of interest. GPS signals are used to synchronize the operations of all geophones.

3. Fracture Visualization:

A series of microseismic events can be plotted in a timely fashion to reconstruct the development of the fracturing.
